* I should have known better
TIL, that Nissan Xterras hold their value quite well. In the Indianapolis area, MY2010 are going for more than $11k and MY2015 are going for around $29k!

My stepmom had one of the early models (I think it was a 2003) and loved it. I don't remember driving it unfortunately.

Anything with proper off road capability holds its value insanely well as long as it hasn’t been beat to shit(Wrangler, FJ, 4Runner, Tacoma, XTerra, Frontier) . Especially if it has a stick shift. This is how I ended up buying a brand new Tacoma when all I really wanted was something that basically did what my 1991 4Runner did but with fewer years and miles. But a 10 year old example of any of the above with fewer than ~150k miles is beyond $15k, usually beyond $20k.

Not surprised they had a cult following, and now you can’t get a new one
